Fort Worth Housing Solutions is hosting an 85th Anniversary Breakfast to celebrate the history of our agency and the ongoing work we do to change the face of affordable housing by providing mixed-income rental and home ownership opportunities that provide the foundation to improve lives.
The agency was established by the City of Fort Worth in 1938 to provide affordable housing for low- to moderate-income residents of the Fort Worth community. FWHS works closely with numerous partners to promote economic independence and positive change in the lives of the more than 33,000 individuals every day.
The Anniversary Breakfast will benefit the Barbara Holston Education Fund. Named in honor of Barbara Holston, long-time senior executive of FWHS, BHEF works to eliminate financial barriers by awarding several scholarships each year for academic, technical or vocational training to residents enrolled in FWHS programs.
